About Kayla Gillooly
Kayla Gillooly (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts. She graduated from Salem State University where she received her Master of Social Work (MSW). Before her MSW she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Endicott College. She has approximately 10+ years of experience in behavioral health.
Her background is particularly strong in clinical mental health, crisis intervention, trauma/family systems, and incarcerated individuals. Kayla has worked in various settings including in-home therapy and care programs, therapeutic schools as well as in correctional settings. Within these therapeutic settings, Kayla has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in individual therapy but she has also worked with families, couples, and other collaborative sources such as DCF.
Kayla draws from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy. Her overall approach is collaborative and trauma informed.
